Soaring Eagles Receives 2011 Title 1 School of the Year Award
High Expectations assist in developing aptitudes for each student from the gifted to the struggling learners, ensuring each child grows academically. Soaring Eagles provides Colorado Springs with exceptional educational opportunities, such as a Gifted and Talented magnet program for students, an accelerated reading program, literacy blocks and daily math instruction.
The success of these programs is reflected in the school's Transitional Colorado Assessment Program (TCAP) scores. Soaring Eagles is home to several Harrison Distinguished Certified Staff.
Soaring Eagles is also a uniform-dress school, which has a positive impact on student learning, resulting in higher academic achievement, fewer discipline referrals and a focused academic learning environment.
Our Educators
The Soaring Eagles staff is a committed group of educators who continually study the best instructional practices and go above and beyond to meet students' needs. Classroom teachers and administrators meet on a monthly basis to align curriculum, review student achievement data, make improvements and give feedback on the progress of various educational programs. Soaring Eagles values high quality teachers and offers many opportunities for professional development to all staff members.
Soaring Eagles' highly qualified educational staff uses Write Tools for effective writing, McMillan/McGraw-Hill "Treasures" Curriculum for reading and Math Central Curriculum for math.
